Aloha to all new and returning students to Niuolahiki...aloha!
The Kauwela (Summer) 2009 (K09) term has begun. The first chapter of the term will be opened on this day. You will find it in your respective class folder on Leok?. Locate it on your Leok? desktop and begin the lessons of your respective mokuna. You must work through all lessons in sequential order and post all required submissions and CORRections by 6:00 p.m. HST by Wednesday, May 13th.
If you are a returning student from two or more terms ago and needed a refresher with the technology and are still working on the Self-Guided Technology Orientation, please do so diligently. You can work on the orientation along with your respective mokuna assignments simultaneously in order to not fall behind. Hiki n?! Contact tech support if necessary:

Take your time and pace yourself. You have 2 1/2 weeks to complete all lessons and to study and memorize the vocabulary, grammatical rules and patterns presented in your respective initial mokuna.
Post any general technical question in the K?ko?o ?Enehana (Tech Support) folder/conference on Leok?. Any question regarding the latest version of Leok? and the use of Unicode fonts can be posted in the Kakoo Leoki folder/conference found on your Leok? desktop. Finally, any questions pertaining to your particular mokuna lessons can be posted in your respective Tuta (Tutor) forum on your class website.

I received your email and I appreciate your patience.
The problem I am experiencing is trying to configure FirstClass & Leoki. Set-up advises me 'there is no FirstClass server with that name on network' (leoki.uhh.edu). I've tried 8 times with no success.
In the interim, I'll continue pre-testing quizzies.

Again, you do not need to configure FirstClass/Leok?. But, FYI, the server address should be "leoki.uhh.hawaii.edu".
