Dear ʻohana Niuolahiki,
Aloha! We are proud to announce a brand new type of online course called a “blended learning” course.
These quick, 10-week courses are for those who prefer a combination of self-directed, asynchronous learning blended with live feedback from teacher-led discussions on each chapter’s vocabulary, short phrases and grammar. Students will also engage in simple translation exercises as well as composing a short haʻiʻōlelo hoʻolauna (introduction speech) to be recited at the end of the course as part of your final exam.
This blended learning approach will require the student to commit to completing chapter modules in a timely manner according to the class schedule as well as committing to a set schedule of online meeting times via Skype with the kumu (instructor) and fellow classmates at least twice a week for 20-40 minutes each session.
This blended learning course will begin on October 10th. Space is limited to 20 students per semester. Registration will close on Sunday evening, October 9th. Click here for more information and enroll today.
Again, we look forward to working with you more closely as you learn Hawaiian online with us.
Mahalo nui,
Ke Kime Niuolahiki (The Niuolahiki Team)
